Airswift is seeking applicants for the role of Business Development Specialist to join the Global Employment & Mobility team In Manchester.
The purpose of the role is to prospect for, qualify, and win new business within the Global Employment & Mobility (GEM) service lines at Airswift.
This is a high energy role requiring a thorough understanding of, and experience of executing, best practices within B2B service sales.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility is to win new business in line with targets for gross profit
- To communicate and collaborate effectively with regional and global internal stakeholders to ensure all leads and opportunities are proactively managed
- To take the lead in all GEM sales opportunities within the region. Ensuring client deadlines are met and managing internal resources to ensure same.
- Accurate and timely use of Airswift’s CRM to enable accurate pipeline forecasting
- To utilise all available business & social media research tools to identify target clients that fit within the prevailing business development strategy
- To qualify inbound leads to understand their potential commercial value to Airswift
- To maintain an up to date understanding of the market conditions and trends within the Global Mobility and Global Employment Outsourcing functions.
- To be familiar with the ‘vocabulary’ of GM and GEO to maintain client credibility
- To understand the business drivers behind GM and GEO outsourcing
- To conduct thorough ‘needs analysis’ discussions with clients during the business development phase
- To work closely with the Bids team to ensure clients receive compelling proposals relevant to their needs and business objectives
- To maintain compliance with minimum pricing guidelines for GM and GEO services
- To ensure new clients are on-boarded efficiently
Business Development Manager Requirements:
Essential:
- High level of numeracy and commercial acumen
- At least 5 years experience of successfully selling in a B2B environment, ideally within an HR services environment
- At least 2 years experience of successfully selling to senior stakeholders (VPs, C-Suite etc)
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to ‘self start’, be organised, and focus on activities that will be commercially fruitful
- Strong IT literacy
Desired:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.

Experience of selling into HR decision makers for outsourced services (especially global mobility and global employment outsourcing)
