Director - Business Development - Middle East

About the Role:

As part of Nium’s APAC, Middle East and Africa Sales team, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with industry leaders in multiple strategic industries, including financial institutions, travel, and technology, and be part of our team of seasoned payments experts. You’ll collaborate across functions, working with teams including account management, product, and compliance. Ultimately, our aim is to give our customers the best experience possible and provide innovative payment solutions that unlock business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and the highest degree of effectiveness across Nium’s market leading propositions.
  • Identify, secure, and manage relationships with clients across Middle East.
  • Have a constant drive to go beyond past performance and visibly demonstrate track record beating performance when it comes achieving financial targets.
  • Generate revenue from clients.
  • Demonstrate business development and consultative selling skills with results-orientation to meet/exceed assigned financial and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Pro-actively hunt for opportunities in the marketplace through direct contact as well as partners.
  • The job will involve building relationships with key players in banks to generate qualified opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years proven track record in business development or sales in Payments, Financial Services, FinTech or Banking Go-to-Market.
  • A robust network of contacts and strong understanding of Nium offerings.
  • Commercially focussed and pragmatic.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Ability to understand and tailor approach to individual customers with empathy.
  • Data driven and analytical mindset.
  • Results-oriented, client focused and obsessed with simultaneously delivering value.
  • Self-motivated, adept in working individually and as part of a global team.
