We have an excellent opportunity for an Oracle Applications DBA to join our expanding delivery function in the UK. The role will be part of the Infrastructure Services in which there is a very strong culture of teamwork, cooperation and collaboration. About the role:

Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, in this role you will assist our customers with incidents, changes and problem requests to a satisfactory resolution. Strong technical understanding and experience of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12/11i) and Oracle Database Core Technology is essential.

This is a flexible role in terms of location and can be fully remote, or based part-time or full-time in our offices in Thatcham, Berkshire, Hyderabad, India or in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending and contributing to customer technical meetings and briefings.
  • Consulting with customers as a billable resource, engaging with customers to determine their business requirements as required at the Director, Senior Management and Project team level
  • Providing consulting expertise and cost-effective delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions that best meet customer requirements
  • Inputting into Pre-Sales, RFI and RFP documentation responses as well as attending pre-sales calls
  • Contributing to service improvement
  • Taking a lead on various projects (upgrades, implementations or migrations)
  • Translating and designing customer requirements into workable solutions

What we’re looking for:

  • In-depth technical experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12/11i) and Oracle Database Core Technology, including RAC, ASM and DataGuard
  • Exposure to Cloud Operations Experience (OC, Azure or AWS)
  • Proficient in Shell Scripting
  • Proficient O/S skills (Linux/Unix/Windows)
  • Experience with Oracle Weblogic Server and/or Oracle Application Server
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working on complex database and application issues
  • End-to end-project involvement experience (upgrades, implementations or migrations)
  • Bid support and estimation experience
  • Explorative technical nature

In addition, the following experience would be desired (but not essential):

  • An Oracle or Cloud certification
  • OBIEE/Informatica
  • Single Sign On/Oracle Access Manager
  • MS SQL Server
  • GoldenGate
  • OEM
