Payments Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing: Handles local and foreign currency transactions, and manages any payment-related investigations.
• Query Resolution: Responds to inquiries from other banks, raises RFIs (Requests for Information) with clients, and addresses Transaction Screening and Monitoring alerts related to payment transactions.
• Customer Interaction: Engages with customers to provide assistance and resolve issues, ensuring an excellent standard of customer service.
• Process Improvement Collaboration: Collaborates with product and technology teams to suggest and implement improvements in payment processes, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Internal Team Support: Works closely with internal teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.

Requirements:

• Experience and Knowledge: Strong background in local and international payment processes, investigation, and dispute management. Familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulations for payments. Knowledge of SWIFT and related processes. Experience in cheque processing (preferred).
• Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in situations where processes may not be clearly defined. Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex procedures for customers. Proven teamwork abilities and capacity to support colleagues in a high-energy environment. Flexibility and adaptability in a startup environment, with a passion for continuous learning.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
