UI/UX Design Intern (Unpaid)

Description Sohail Smart Solutions, a leading training and consultancy company based in the UAE and licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), is offering an exciting opportunity for an unpaid UI/UX Design Internship. This role is specifically designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in designing user interfaces and experiences within government services. Interns will have the unique opportunity to showcase their projects on leading platforms such as Behance, Dribbble, and Figma Community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our product and development teams to design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for our web and mobile applications, with a focus on government services.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights and assess the efficacy of UI/UX designs.
• Translate user needs and project requirements into compelling design solutions that are accessible and user-friendly.
• Maintain design consistency across all projects and adhere to brand guidelines.
• Work closely with developers to implement UI components and ensure their alignment with design specifications.
• Continuously learn about new design trends, tools, and technologies to enhance your skills and contributions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• A foundational understanding of UX/UI principles and design processes, especially as they relate to government applications.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• A portfolio available on platforms like Behance, Dribbble, or Figma Community, showcasing design projects (highly desirable).
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and innovative design thinking.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team setting.
