VFX Artist

Description Sperasoft is hiring a VFX Artist to join our game development team. As a VFX Artist, you will have the opportunity to create stunning effects that bring our games to life. You will collaborate closely with Designers, Artists, and Engineers to create captivating visual experiences for our players. Creativity and attention to detail will be crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for crafting visually appealing effects that enhance gameplay and storytelling. Your ability to think outside the box and bring innovative ideas to the table will contribute to the overall visual excellence of AAA+ game projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create stunning effects and immersive visuals, working with Designers, Artists, and Engineers
• Create real-time particle systems and shaders via proprietary software
• Create textures for particle systems and shaders
• Evaluate and initiate processes and features needed to improve and streamline production

Requirements

• Experience on at least one production project as a FX Artist
• Experience of creating efficient real-time visual effects using the UE5, Niagara
• Strong knowledge of Houdini in terms of fluid simulations, destructions, rigid bodies and procedural generation
• Ability to understand and create texture maps
• Understanding of 3D asset creation
• Experience of relevant 2D, 3D art & animation packages – Photoshop, Maya or 3D Max or Blender
• Understanding of shaders and textures
• Ability to accept feedback, and responds to critics positively
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
